Fiberglass/polyester laid scrim is widely used as reinforced material on kinds of non-woven fabric, such as fiberglass tissue, polyester mat, wipes, also some top ends, such as medical paper. It can make non-woven products with higher tensile strength, while just adding very little unit weight.

The scrim producing process by chemically bonding non-woven yarns, also are able to enhance the scrim with a unique glass/polyester veil (Laid scrims laminating with veil ), that allows for various customized demands. 

 

Application

This laid Scrim is a kind of economic reinforcing non-woven fabric made from continuous filament yarn(Fiberglass, Polyester, etc.) in the square shape of an open mesh instruction with an ultra-light mass unit (6-28g/m2), which generally applies to increase tear strength, dimensional stability, facilitate handling or act as a carrier of adhesive to be used in secondary bonding. It is typically applied when woven fabrics are too heavy and knitted products are too pliable for the application.
